Dr.Manal Shalabi
Founder & General Director
Dr. Manal Shalabi holds a Ph.D. in social work. Manal is the founder of Adar: The forum for professionals to fight the murder of women, she has served as the organization's general manager since it was founded in 2016.
She is a lecturer, at The Bob Shapell School of Social Work, Tel-Aviv University, a researcher and a feminist activist, and a social entrepreneur with many years of experience in initiating and managing projects in civil society in the field of gender and gender violence.
Currently serves as a consultant at the Urgent Action Fund for Women's Human Rights (UAF)
In 2021, dr. Shalabi was chosen, to receive an award from the Social Equality Ministry for my work over many years to eliminate violence against women.
This award was conferred upon in recognition of Dr. Shalabi many years of leadership in this sphere in the Arab community specifically and in Israel general, which began over 20 years ago, during which she worked in various feminist and therapeutic frameworks, most recently establishing Ad’ar: The Professional Forum to fight the murder of women.

Over the past decade, Adv. Assi has worked as a consultant to many local and international organizations and has worked on a variety of projects funded by the European Union and other foundations in the areas of economic development, equality and empowerment. In addition, Adv. Assi has been involved in many research projects in the field of economic policy and legal reform.
He holds a bachelor's degree in law and economics from the University of Haifa in 2002 and 2004, a European master's degree in law and economics from the University of Erasmus - Rotterdam in 2006 and a master's degree in legal science from Stanford University - USA in 2011.
